喝倒彩:

Actually means:

The audience usually applaud or bravo for the wonderful performance of artists to show their praise, which is called 喝彩.

And the audience will boo or make catcalls to laugh at the performer's misplay. which is called 喝倒彩.

It can be commonly used on the occasion when people give vent to their dissatisfaction, critique or blame on the misplay in some shows, matches, or things concerning public interests, etc. It carries a sense of derogatory.
