It describes a person who is unwilling to speak to or communicate with others. It also means that one is inaccessible, hard to deal with, or that he sticks to the rules and regulations rigidly and refuses to give others a favor even when it is possible to do so. It is the antonym of 好说话.

指人不愿意跟别人多说话，不肯跟人家沟通。也指做人不随和，难打交道，或做事坚持死规定，不肯变通，在可以给人方便的情况下不给方便。和“好说话”相对。
