人家

The pronoun “人家” is often used in spoken Chinese . It is mainly used in three ways.
 

1.人家= 他 / 他们 （ he ,she or they ）It refers to a person or persons other than the speaker and the listener , both of whom know the person or persons.It is equivalent to 他 or 他们.

For example:

 A：你这么喜欢他，人家知道吗？ 

 B： 我也不知道他知不知道。

2.人家 = 别人 （Others）It refers to persons other than the speaker and the listener, which is equivalent to “别人”。For example:

  A：人家放假都去旅行，你怎么天天在家里玩儿游戏？

  B ： 人家是人家，我是我。

3人家 = 自己（Myself）指说话人自己。It refers to the speaker.

Attention ：人家 is usually used by female speakers to refer to themselves. Male seldom use 人家 in this way .

For example:

A : 亲爱的，嫁给我吧！

B ：人家还没想 好呢。
