Definition

协助 and 帮助 both are Verbs, which means [assist; help].

Example

协助 mostly means "the support from the lower level to the upper level in work", and usually refers to actual things.
1) 协助 sometimes does not mean "help from the lower level but at the same level or the upper level".

2) In the example, 协助 can be replaced by 帮助, however, its meaning of "cooperation or assistance is weakened".
