宫保鸡丁 Gongbao Chicken
“宫保鸡丁是清朝的丁宝桢所创,因他为官清正,多有建树,清廷为了表彰他的功绩,追赠“太子太保”。而他发明的这道菜也就被人们称为“宫保鸡丁”。宫保鸡丁主要选用鸡肉作为主料,配着花生米、辣椒等辅料翻炒、烹制而成。它的特色是辣中有甜,甜中有辣,鸡肉的鲜嫩配合花生的香脆,受尽中外人们的喜爱。人们也根据各地区的不同饮食习惯进行了改良,使之越来越受欢迎。”
Gongbao Chicken was created by Ding Baozhen in the Qing Dynasty. Because he was an offical and had made many achievement, the Qing government awarded him the title of ‘Taibao, the crown prince’ in recognition of his achievements. The dish he invented is called ‘Gongbao Chicken’ Gongbao diced chicken is mainly made of chicken, fried and cooked with peanuts, peppers and other auxilary materials. It's characteristics are spicy with sweet, sweet with spicy, fresh and tender chicken with crispy peanuts, loved by people at home and abroad. It is also becoming more and more popular as people adapt it to the different eating habits of different regions.
