绿 is an Adjective, which means “green”.

Cultural meaning:

Green is a lovely color. Now, there is a lot of "green food" in the market, "green food" is not necessarily green color, but it is not polluted, good for health.

Interestingly, Chinese men don't wear green hats. Why? Because there is a saying in China called "wearing a cuckold 戴绿帽子", Chinese people call a wife who has an affair "wearing a cuckold".
