会means can, your ability to do something, in any situation and condition.
能means could, your ability to do something but depends on the situation on condition.
可以 means may, can be for asking permission.
For example:
我会开车。Meaning: I can drive a car. No matter in any situation and condition, that"s ur ability that u can drive.
因为喝了酒,我不能开车。Meaning eventhough u can drive, but if u get drunk, you can't drive.
我可以开你的车吗?Meaning: May I drive your car?

hope u understand.

The Chinese characters 会 (huì), 能 (néng), and 可以 (kěyǐ) all relate to abilities, possibilities, or permissions, but they have distinct meanings and usage contexts. Here is an explanation of their differences:

1. **会 (huì)**:
- **Meaning**: Indicates a learned ability or skill, or expresses a future possibility or certainty.
- **Usage**:
- To express learned skills or knowledge:
- Example: 我会说中文。("I can speak Chinese.")
- To indicate future actions or likelihood:
- Example: 明天会下雨。("It will rain tomorrow.")
- **Sentence Structure**: Subject + 会 + Verb (他会弹钢琴。 "He can play the piano.")

2. **能 (néng)**:
- **Meaning**: Indicates physical or inherent ability, possibility due to circumstances, or permission in some contexts.
- **Usage**:
- To express physical or inherent ability:
- Example: 我能游一公里。("I can swim one kilometer.")
- To express possibility due to circumstances:
- Example: 今天晚上我不能去看电影。("I can't go to the movies tonight.")
- In some contexts, to indicate permission:
- Example: 你能不能帮我个忙?("Can you help me?")
- **Sentence Structure**: Subject + 能 + Verb (他能解决这个问题。 "He can solve this problem.")

3. **可以 (kěyǐ)**:
- **Meaning**: Indicates permission, possibility, or capability in a broader sense.
- **Usage**:
- To express permission:
- Example: 你可以在这里抽烟。("You can smoke here.")
- To express possibility or capability:
- Example: 这本书可以借给你。("This book can be lent to you.")
- **Sentence Structure**: Subject + 可以 + Verb (我可以帮你。 "I can help you.")

**Summary**:
- **会** (huì) is used for learned abilities or skills and to express future actions or certainty.
- **能** (néng) is used for physical or inherent abilities, possibilities due to circumstances, and sometimes permissions.
- **可以** (kěyǐ) is used mainly for permission, but also for expressing possibility or capability.

Each of these words can be used to express different nuances of ability, possibility, or permission, and their correct usage depends on the context of the sentence.

会 refers to an ability or skill that is learned and acquired through effort. Such as learning to speak English or Chinese e.g (我会说汉语 - I can speak Mandarin Chinese / I am able to speak Mandarin Chinese)。 In grammar, it is also used refered to the future tense "will" e.g (明年我会去中国-next year I will go to china)
能 is simply used as the word "can". Such as when a child says I can throw a ball or walk by myself. It is used in a basic sense and not technical.
可以 means you are given permission and authority to do something. It can technically translate to the word "may" and "can". Such as when you ask someone (我可以做这里吗- can/may I sit here). Or (老师我可以进来吗- Teacher may I come in).

Hopes this helps!

Could someone share with me the Integrated Chinese, Character Workbooks, Level 3 and 4? I would really appreciate it!I just discovered the Chinese Track podcasts and went through the first 4 lessons and I really like the way that it's done so far: https://www.chinesetrack.com/podcast-feeds/ It's easy to listen to, it's free, and it's really cool the way that each lesson builds on the one before, introducing you to new vocabulary, but also using that vocabulary in future lessons so that you remember it.
