Chinese covers various topics such as business, travel, life, hobbies, etc., so it's essential to find relevant topics. Otherwise, you might have difficulty understanding what the video or audio is discussing.

There is a feature in WeChat called 夜听 which is a narration of certain stories or interesting anecdotes which you can listen to like an audiobook while you are busy doing something else.

Try to speak more with Chinese and master more words , so you can improve your listening .

Watch simple videos in Chinese, especially those made for children. You need to listen more to improve your listening, which will help you in understanding and speaking. For books, you can consider HSK or YCT. I find YCT an interesting book for beginners.
