Actually means:

门神 or 门神爷 refers to gods whose pictures are pasted on the front door of the house during the Spring Festival. It also figuratively refers to the door-keeper. It is a folk custom in China to paste the pictures of door-gods. According to superstitions, the door-gods can guard the house against aggressing demons and spirits.

过春节时贴在两扇门上的神像叫做“门神”或“门神爷”。也比喻看门人。贴门神是中国民间的习俗。按迷信的说法，门神可以守卫门户，驱逐前来侵扰的妖魔鬼怪，保护全家平安。具有褒义色彩。
