牛郎, the Cowboy; 织女, the Weaving Lady, are two figures in the Chinese ancient mythology. The Weaving Lady was the granddaughter of the emperor in heaven, who escaped to the earth and married the Cowboy. But this couple were later separated by the milk-way in the heaven and can only meet on the seventh day of the seventh month every year according to lunar calendar.
