人比人，气死人

Actually means:

It means everybody lives in different situation, which is the result of various factors. A person therefore should not compare his situation with others' from his own perspective; otherwise, the consequence is odious. It often means that it is pointless to compare with others, for the differences between one and another are caused by many factors.

指各个人的境况各不相同，这是由各种不同的因素决定的，因此不能仅从自己的角度去和别人比较，如果硬要这样比较，就会因心里觉得不平衡而生气。多指和别人比较没有什么意义，因为人与人之间的差别是很多原因造成的。
