HSK 7-9 First Test on November 26, 2022

The HSK 7–9 first test was finally scheduled on November 26, 2022.

As the newly introduced advanced Chinese level and part of HSK 3.0, it get a lot of attention since the first standard was released on August 2011.

It is 3 levels in one test paper, including levels: 7, 8, and 9, and is divided into specific levels according to the testee’s scores, Level 9 is the highest level.

HSK 7–9 Test Forms

Only the internet-based test form is available at this time.

Generally, there are 3 forms of the HSK, a paper-based test at the tests center, an internet-based test at the test center, and an internet-based test at home. While for the first HSK 7–9 test, there are only 2 forms, an internet-based test at the test center and an internet-based test at home.

HSK 7–9 Test Time

Morning (local time):

Listening: 9:00–9:30

Reading: 9:30–10:30 

10 mins break

Writing: 10:40–11:35

Translation (written): 11:35–12:10

Afternoon (local time)

Interpretation & Oral (Spoken) test: 14:00–14:30

HSK 7–9 Candidates Requirements:

Candidates who have already enrolled for the test on May 15, 2022, are not allowed to register for this test, and cross-country registration is not allowed.

Another, the translation part of this test will be translated from foreign to Chinese, and the translation materials will be available in English, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and Korean. Candidates are required to select a language when registering.

HSK 7–9 Facility Requirements for Home Testing

1. Windows (7/10) operating system and Google Chrome, Mac (Apple) is not supported;
2. Screen resolution ≥ 1440 * 900, less than 1366 * 768 is NOT supported;
3. Web camera with at least 0.3M pixels;
4. A plug-in headset is required, the Bluetooth headsets are NOT supported;
5. Internet speed should be ≥20M, and VPNs cannot be used.

HSK 7–9 Test Scope

The HSK (Level 7–9) consists of 98 questions, which comprehensively measure five language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation.

The test paper is divided into five parts: listening, reading, writing, translation, and speaking. Each part mainly tests one language skill, supplemented by other language skills. The specific content and answer time are as follows:
