"或者" is also used to express alternatives or options, but it implies that there are more than two choices available. It is often translated as "or" or "either...or" in English.
Example: 你可以去游泳、打篮球或者踢足球。(nǐ kěyǐ qù yóuyǒng, dǎ lánqiú huòzhě tī zúqiú.) - You can go swimming, play basketball, or play soccer.

还是 is used in question more often and means to know the right one . ex:你要过来还是我过去？
