How to teach the students pronounce the third tone for pinyin

I had one student around 7 years old. He had a problem for the third tone and second tone.I have already asked him to use hand to instruct. However, he still could not speak it correctly.

Could you give me some ideas to teach him?

I just discovered the Chinese Track podcasts and went through the first 4 lessons and I really like the way that it's done so far: https://www.chinesetrack.com/podcast-feeds/ It's easy to listen to, it's free, and it's really cool the way that each lesson builds on the one before, introducing you to new vocabulary, but also using that vocabulary in future lessons so that you remember it.
