I just feel like tracing is not the best way to learn Chinese characters. Is there any other way to remember them?

practice practice practice. Learn things with passion interest would be the most efficient way, such as from Chinese movies, songs etc.

After studying Chinese for 8 yrs.Trace, read, and find the meaning is actually the best way lol.
I tried some games etc. But I find tracing is the best, it may be boring and tried but you'll surely remember the characters. Keep fighting!

When I was young, I was tracing characters every day. The teacher would tell us the meaning of radicals, too.
