海上和床上

yī gè rén zài hǎi biān yù jiàn yī gè gāng cóng hǎi shàng guī lái de shuǐ shǒu.
一个人在海边遇见一个刚从海上归来的水手。

tā men kāi shǐ liáo tiān.
他们开始聊天。

nà gè rén wèn shuǐ shǒu: “nǐ hěn xǐ huān dà hǎi ma?”
那个人问水手：“你很喜欢大海吗？”

“dāng rán.” shuǐ shǒu huí dá shuō: “wǒ de jiā rén tóng wǒ yī yàng, yě dōu ài hǎi.”
“当然。”水手回答说：“我的家人同我一样，也都爱海。”

“nǐ de fù qīn xiàn zài zài nǎ lǐ?”
“你的父亲现在在哪里？”

“tā sǐ zài hǎi lǐ.”
“他死在海里。”

“nǐ de zǔ fù ne?”
“你的祖父呢？”

“tā sǐ zài dà xī yáng lǐ.”
“他死在大西洋里。”

“nǐ de gē ge……”
“你的哥哥……”

“tā zài yī chǎng fēng bào zhōng shī zōng le, nà shí tā zài yìn dù yáng bǔ yú.”
“他在一场风暴中失踪了，那时他在印度洋捕鱼。”

“jì rán rú cǐ,” nà gè rén shuō, “rú guǒ wǒ shì nǐ, wǒ jué bù huì dào hǎi lǐ qù.”
“既然如此，”那个人说，“如果我是你，我绝不会到海里去。”

“nǐ yuàn yì gào sù wǒ nǐ de fù qīn sǐ zài nǎ lǐ ma?” shuǐ shǒu wèn nà gè rén.
“你愿意告诉我你的父亲死在哪里吗？”水手问那个人。

“ā, tā zài chuáng shàng duàn de qì.”
“啊，他在床上断的气。”

“nǐ de zǔ fù ne?”
“你的祖父呢？”

“yě shì sǐ zài chuáng shàng.”
“也是死在床上。”

“jì rán rú cǐ,” shuǐ shǒu shuō, “rú guǒ wǒ shì nǐ, wǒ jiù yǒng yuǎn yě bù dào chuáng shàng qù.”
“既然如此，”水手说，“如果我是你，我就永远也不到床上去。”

At Sea and In Bed
A man met a sailor who had just returned from the sea by the seaside.
They started chatting.
The man asked the sailor: "Do you like the sea very much?"
"Of course," the sailor replied, "My family, just like me, all love the sea too."
"Where is your father now?"
"He died at sea."
"What about your grandfather?"
"He died in the Atlantic Ocean."
"And your elder brother..."
"He went missing in a storm while fishing in the Indian Ocean."
"Since that's the case," the man said, "if I were you, I would never go to sea."
"Would you mind telling me where your father died?" the sailor asked the man.
"Oh, he passed away in bed."
"What about your grandfather?"
"He also died in bed."
"Since that's the case," the sailor said, "if I were you, I would never go to bed again."
