Example
增加 stressing the increase in quantity is applied to concrete or abstract things and has wide usage, whereas 增长 not only indicates the increase in quantity but stresses the rise in level and is mostly applied to abstract things.
In the examples, only 增加 in example ④ can be replaced by 增长.
