吸收 and 吸取 both are Verbs, which means [absorb; assimilate; draw].

Both 吸收 and 吸取 mean "to assimilate useful things", but they are applied to different scopes. The objects of 吸收 are mostly people or concrete things, while the objects of 吸取 are mostly abstract things.
