Definition

谅解 and 原谅 both are Verbs, which means [to understand; to forgive; to make allowance for], indicating "to put up with defects, complaints, misunderstandings, etc".

Example

谅解 also means "to have tacit understanding or agreement"; 谅解 stresses not blaming defects or mistakes and is usually applied to other people. 原谅 can be applied to oneself as well as others.
