爱 and 喜欢 both are Verb, which means [to love/to like].

Example

爱 and 喜欢, both words mean "to cherish a strong feeling of fondness such as love between lovers, friends, relatives".
1) In daily life, 喜欢 is used more often,e.g 她喜欢孩子. However, when love is concerned, 爱 is more often used to indicate the deep degree, e.g. 他爱上了一个姑娘.

2) To express one's feelings for one's country or a group 爱 is preferable,e.g. 爱祖国,爱厂如家. Sometimes 喜欢 may also be used (in a more casual way), e.g 同学们,我真喜欢你们.
