Definition
意义上的被动句 (notional passive sentences), a passive sentence without a passive word (被, 叫 or 让).
In Chinese, action receivers can serve as subjects in many sentences and these sentences are used to emphasize the situation of the receivers. 被, 叫 or 让 indicating passivity does not appear in these sentences.
