一边……一边…… and 一面……一面…… are conjunctive Adverbs placed in front of the verbs to indicate two actions taking place at the same time. Both conjunctions can connect elements indicating concrete things or actions.
1, “一边……一边……” is used in oral Chinese, while “一面……一面……” in written Chinese;
