How to make students pronounce accurate Chinese syllables. I have taught many students before, but many of them can't speak accurate Chinese. Ladies and gentlemen, can anyone tell me how to guide students to pronounce accurate Chinese syllables? Including how to accurately pronounce Chinese tones.

When teaching some pronunciation, incidentally talk about the organ of pronunciation

I think the most important thing, which is also might be the hardest aspect, is to feel the language. For most language learners who are not crazy gifted at language learning, the simplest way to feel the language is through constant exposure, which means to immerse in the context, even though the learner cannot understand a thing, but after a while, the brain will establish its own system to incorporate the language. Therefore, in my opinion, in the beginning stage, input should be more important than the output.

As for the accurate way of pronunciation, try to find the differences of basic sounds in the learner’s native language with the Chinese sound. This normally is very micro differences in the tongue position, lip position, and where does the sound come out. Don’t try to teach and correct learners’ pronunciation all at a time or within a small time period. Just do it a little at a time, make sure learners won’t be bored and frustrated by it and keep the momentum.

Do not find a similar pronunciation in their mother tonge. Similar is just similar , never the same. make correct pronunciation at very begining , though it may seem slow and not so efficient . but a solid foundation is a must.
