“Because . . . , so . . .” = yīnwei . . . , suǒyǐ . . . 因为. . . , 所以 . . .
In any sentence that begins with yīnwei 因为, the second clause must start with suǒyǐ 所以, even though in English we don’t generally put “so” or “therefore” in the second
clause):
Because I’m tired, (so) I’m going to bed.
Yīnwei wǒ lèile, suǒyǐ wǒ yào shàngchuáng.
因为我累了,所以我要上床。
