欧阳修的故事

欧阳修4岁时父亲就去世了，母亲对他的教育很严格。为节减开支，母亲用芦苇、木炭作笔，在土地或沙地上教欧阳修认字。欧阳修在家训中希望儿子能继续养成读书的习惯，并从书中学会做人的道理。

于是他在教导二儿子欧阳奕努力学习时写下《诲学说》:“玉不琢，不成器；人不学，不知道。”
