This is the points rules from this website, hope it's helpful.

How to get points:

Valid posts in the community (quality over quantity)
Buy CSP for an additional 3 times of points (for students), eg spend 10 USD, get 10 CSP and 30 Points
Post high-quality courses/lessons (only for teachers)
Upload pdf, after someone downloads your courseware, you will get all the Points (Best way)
No points for a new account


Rules of points usage:

Points can be used to download courseware
If the courseware is updated later, it will no longer cost Points to re-download
