中秋节快乐 Happy for the Mid-Autumn Festival

每年一度的中秋节就要到了，它是中国人很重视的传统节日。中秋节源自古代人们对月亮的崇拜。传说中有后羿，曾经射下九个太阳（后羿射日），把人类从灼热的环境中拯救出来的英雄，他与善良的女子嫦娥相爱，结为夫妻。 王母娘娘为了奖励后羿的功绩，赠与他一颗长生不老的仙丹。后羿把仙丹交由他的妻子嫦娥保管。有一天，后羿的徒弟--蓬蒙，趁着后羿不在家，要抢夺他的仙丹，嫦娥情急之下，吞下了仙丹，飞到月亮里上，变成了仙女。后羿思念妻子，就在后花园摆上香案和嫦娥爱吃的鲜果和甜饼。守望着月亮，遥远地看着自己的爱人。百姓听到这件事后，也一样在月亮下摆上点心和月饼，向善良的嫦娥祈求吉祥和平安。 后来每逢农历八月十五这天人们都这样做。 也就形成了今天的中秋节。

The annual Mid-Autumn Festival is coming. It is a traditional festival that Chinese people attach great importance to. The Mid-Autumn Festival originated from the worship of the moon in ancient times. Legend has Houyi, once shot down nine suns (Houyi shot the sun), the hero who saved mankind from the scorching environment, he fell in love with the kind woman Chang 'e, and became husband and wife. In order to reward Hou Yi's achievements, the Queen Mother gave him an elixir of immortality. Houyi gave the elixir to his wife Chang 'e for safekeeping. One day, Hou Yi's apprentice, Peng Meng, took advantage of Hou Yi not at home, to rob his elixir, Chang 'e was in a hurry, swallowed the elixir, flew to the moon, became a fairy. Missing his wife, Houyi put incense tables and Chang 'e's favorite fresh fruits and sweet cookies in the back garden. Watching the moon, looking at his lover far away. When the people heard this, they also put snacks and moon cakes under the moon and prayed to the kind Chang 'e for good luck and peace. Later, people do this on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. This is the formation of today's Mid-Autumn Festival.

“每逢佳节倍思亲”，中秋节是大家团聚的佳节。团圆饭，吃月饼，吮田螺，喝桂花酒，赏月光，祭祖先，放天灯，玩灯笼，猜灯谜等等。这些流传下来的风俗习惯都是节日文化的美好诠释。

"Every festival times miss the family", the Mid-Autumn Festival is a festival for everyone to get together. Family reunion dinner, eat moon cakes, suck snails, dring osmanthus wine, admire the moon, wordship ancetors, put sky lanterns, play lanterns, guess lantern riddles and so on.  These customs and habits handed down are a good interpretation of the festival culture.

2022年的中秋节就在九月十日，即是中国的农历八月十五，祝大家中秋节快乐！记得要抬头看看月亮，那是一轮又大又亮的月光，嫦娥就在里面呢。
